Safari Browser is freezing when I try to use Online Banking

We’re aware that a small number of customers are seeing our Digital Banking service freeze when attempting to log in or navigate between pages of Digital Banking using the Safari browser.

Follow the steps below to resolve the issue with Safari;

  • First clear out any Cookies or other browser data from Safari.
  • Open the ‘Finder’ app on your Mac
  • On the ‘Menu’ bar at the top, please click on ‘Go’
  • In the drop down menu that appears, click on ‘Go to Folder’
  • Enter “~/Library/Safari/Favicon Cache” without the quotation marks
  • Inside the ‘Favicon Cache’ folder will be 4 files; Favicons.db, Favicons.db-lock, Favicons.db-shm and Favicons.db-wal
  • Please delete these 4 files. Do NOT delete the folder itself.
  • Once those have been deleted, re-open Safari and try again to log in. The Favicon files will reload when you open Safari - this is normal

If the problem persists please use an alternate browser or Private Browsing tab to log in
