I've an existing standing order on my savings account, why can't I set up a new one?

The terms and conditions of our savings accounts state that standing orders and direct debits are not permitted on savings accounts.

Historically, our systems have allowed these payments to be set up on savings accounts. We are making changes to our systems which will prevent these payments being set up in the future. However you may continue to view or cancel any payments that have been set up historically.

You can set up standing orders from suitable current accounts which allow these payment instructions.

Any existing standing orders set up from your savings account will continue to be paid until further notice.
