How do I order a new, replacement or additional card-reader?

If you have not yet ordered a card-reader or your card-reader is lost, damaged or out of battery power, you can order a new one online:

  1. Log in to your Digital Banking service at www.rbsdigital.com (opens in a new window)
  2. Select 'Security' from the left hand menu.
  3. In the 'Using a card-reader' section, select 'Order a card-reader'.
  4. Select a reason from the drop down menu.
  5. Click 'Confirm'.

A replacement card-reader will arrive within 5-7 working days. We will send the card-reader to the main customer address shown in our records.

Once received you will have to Enable the Card Reader.

If you do not have a debit card for your account we will send you an Digital Banking card and PIN for use with the card-reader. Please allow up to 10 working days for the card reader to arrive, and then another 3 working days for the PIN to arrive.

If you've ordered a card-reader that has not yet arrived and you need to make a payment urgently, you might be able to make a payment using our mobile bank app.
